About Me

My name is Anielka Martinez, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor(LCPC). I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the California State University, East Bay, followed by my Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University's CACREP accredited program, college of Psychology and Behavioral Science.

Professional experiences range from treating individuals with severe and persistent mental illness along with clinical depression/anxiety, PTSD, grief/loss, stress, relationship issues, low-esteem and multicultural/cross cultural issues. My core belief is to employ a compassionate, non-judgmental, and strengths-based approach in working with individuals, couples/families, mental health and psychoeducational groups. I am committed on collaborating with clients to define personal goals, discuss ways to strengthen supports, and gain a deeper understanding of thoughts, feelings, behaviors and concerns impacting the quality of life.

I am devoted to creating a safe space in which discussion, insight and decision making empower client’s own ability to practice setting boundaries, develop habitual self care, challenge and resolve unexplored emotions, thoughts and behaviors in order to navigate life transitions.

I utilize a multi-modal approach to include: Interpersonal, Psycho-dynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus, Trauma-Focus CBT, Play Therapy to assist clients on their journey towards healing and growth.
